The future of Falcom

Jeff L. sent over a link to the latest investors report straight from Nihon Falcom (thanks!!), which announces a number of new titles. The list has:

 

Ys SEVEN

Zwei II

Vantage Master

Brandish

Zwei

Sora no Kiseki the 3rd

Legend of the Heroes 7 (confirmation that it is in development)

 

Jeff mentions that Sora no Kiseki the 3^rd may be getting a PSP port too since the PC version came out in Japan this past June. He brings up a good point and since the Sora no Kiseki series has been a major hit for Falcom, I agree with his analysis.

 

He also opened my eyes to Brandish VT, the last installment of the series which came out in 1996. I only recalled the Super Nintendo Brandish games so hearing this and the revival of Varik’s adventure is news to me.

 

I wonder what Falcom is planning to do with Vantage Master. Could their hex-grid strategy RPG be getting a PSP port too? It’s possible, but it’s going to be hard to compete with a free, English version of Vantage Master with online play.
