AtomGuitar Hero spotted in the Simpsons
In this past Sunday’s episode, Bart wanders off into a new comic book store where the owner is seen playing Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution simultaneously. This isn’t the first time the Simpsons touched on video games. Last season the show poked fun at Grand Theft Auto and a much older episode had a Sonic the Hedgehog look-a-like encouraging Bart to steal Bonestorm. However, this might be the first time actual games are shown instead of a parody.

I respect South Park for showing Okami behind the game store counter in a few episodes. ^_^

They have also shown D2 and Starcraft from what I’ve seen as well in various episodes.

PROTIP : When they give the real product’s name, it’s not called “poking fun at game x”, it’s called “product placement”.
