Shoot zombies with Nyko’s Wii pistol shell

perfectshot.jpgThe Wii Zapper is far from a realistic looking gun, but it’s the optimal way to play light gun games. Publishers are optimizing their control schemes for the zapper set up, which makes it the de facto standard. Most third party light guns shells offer some kind of holder for the nunchuck, but not Nyko’s style-over-substance Perfect Shot. It’s designed to look like a toy gun and toy guns don’t have analog sticks. Also it’s facing some stiff competition from Nintendo’s model in the price department. The Perfect Shot may be $5 cheaper at $14.99, but the extra Lincoln nets you Link’s Crossbow Training.

I guess the only reason why I’m interested in the Perfect Shot is it resembles the pistol used in the arcade version of the House of the Dead 2. Nyko should have teamed up with Sega to get this to the market, they would have done a lot better with a bundle than putting it on the shelf as a stand alone product.

Now we just need a first person shooter to run it with.

That's the only Wiimote gun shell so far that I'd ever consider buying. I'm actually glad that they kept the nunchaku independent, because now games that use the waggle features independently will be perfectly playable.
