Ok, I just played the Wii version and I love Godzilla so I do know that he has nuclear breath, but he's right. It looks like a nuclear lazer thingy. And as for pushing the same button over and over to win... Yeah, it's like that too.

I don't think any serious game reviewer would bash the PS2 and think the same with the Wii. The Wii is the number one system out today, and if any reviewer wants to be taken seriously, they will be reviewing the Wii version. - Goro Maki

My cousin has hit the nail on the head. You want to be taken seriously? Next time try following what is going on in the game, and tell your readers which version you are reviewing, since the Wii version is far superior than your knowledge on anything Godzilla.

Quote: Melee fights just end up being a "push X repeatedly" type of fight.

I suggest you pick up another PS2 controller, one that comes with a square, a triangle, and a circle.

Okay, enough.
"laser fire-breath thing"? Why are you the one reviewing this game? You obviously couldn't give a damn about playing it. Godzilla: Unleashed is not a bad game. Godzilla Unleashed (PS2) might not be good, but you can't call the actual game bad until you've played the Wii version. Now what I'm going to have you do is go out and pick up the Wii version, play it, and then tell us how it is. :P

It sounds as if the reviewer has never played a fighting game before. NO ONE in their right mind could play any fighter effectivley using "push X repeatedly" as their fighting style. also, this guy seems to be rather new to Godzilla. Anyone who refers to Godzilla's nuclear breath as a "laser" is one of the 5 people in the world who has never seen a Godzilla movie.

One last note, with godzilla Unleashed being available on two seperate systems, why not specify which version he was reviewing? There are A LOT of differences between the Wii and the PS2 such as more monsters, better visuals, and most importantly, the control scheme.

It's tough to take this review seriously since it even shows off screenshots that are for the Wii version of the game and not the game that was reviewed. It's this type of scholck "journalism" that brings down gaming websites.

this is the review of the ps2 version and gives no hint to the quality of the wiiversion (the game was developed with wiimote in mind)

i´ll wait for ign´s review since i pretty much agree with the review of the gamecube-game a few years ago....

I dunno, I loved Godzilla: DAMM on the Gamecube so I might actually like this game, albeit the Wii version because the PS2 version was apparently a sort of rush job that basically took a lot from Godzilla: Save The Earth which is the previous PS2 outting for the king of monsters. I've read mixed reviews of the Wii version, but I also noticed that the reviewers recieved the game around two to three months ago. I remember the blog saying that they were spending this last month tightening up the controls and balancing out characters just before the game's street date. So even the reviews might have a different opinion of the Wii version once it's released in its complete form. I dunno...here's hoping that it is. I've always loved the big G
