King of Fighters ’98, take two

Ten years after King of Fighters ’98 arrived in the arcades, it’s returning with a revised edition. Earlier, SNK announced they were working on King of Fighters ’98: Ultimate Match, a retooled version of KOF ’98 for the PlayStation 2. The arcade version should be based on the PS2 release which addresses balancing issues and adds in EX characters. SNK Playmore plans to release King of Fighters ’98: Ultimate Match in arcades next spring, the PlayStation 2 version does not have a release window.
