Dragon Quest V blooms next spring images Really, that’s about it. Dragon Quest V: Tenkuu no Hanayome is coming to Japan in spring ’08. While Dragon Quest IX sits in development limbo Square-Enix has to fill the Dragon Quest gap with something. And don’t be surprised if you see Dragon Quest VI appear before IX. Square-Enix is pumping out these Dragon Quest remakes faster than Rocket flies out of a cannon.

I hope that means we're in line for a Dragon Quest VII remake! I enjoyed what little I played of the game, and I can't afford to buy the PSOne copy either

All things considered, this is great news. I'm guessing the more they push back the release date for both Dragon Quest V and Dragon Quest VI, the less far off Dragon Quest IX is. This means Dragon Quest IX will have lots of time to be polished to a great condition!
