Jump in the virtual roda, Martial Arts: Capoeira coming next year

capoeiraf.jpgRemember Eddy Gordo from Tekken? He is one of the few video game characters to use Capoeira. Italian studio, Twelve Interactive plans to make an entire video game based on the Brazilian martial art. The screenshots look notably low budget, even for a DS/PSP/PS2/Wii title. However, I’m willing to let the visuals slide since there aren’t many games based on Capoeira out there. Lots of kicks and acrobatic tricks should make Martial Arts: Capoeira play differently than other fighting games. Here’s one thought: realistic Ginga controls for the Wii version where players sway from right to left while holding the remote in one hand and the nunchuck in the other.

That’s so cool! Spencer, are you into those martial arts tricks videos, such as those found on bilang.com?

Spencer Says:

@kenshiro - Kind of. I am a fan of capoeira, more for the playfulness in the roda and music. The tricks are rather difficult to pull off.
