Simulate skiing with the Wii balance board images

On January 31, 2008 the balance board will work with something other than Wii Fit. Early adopters can stand on it and shift their weight to make turns in Family Ski. I suppose this is noteworthy because it’s a precedent, but I can’t imagine many other publishers incorporating balance board support.

A Town & Country surfing game starring Thrilla Gorilla? Sure. A RPG where you have to march on the balance board to move? Not so much. Konami seems like they will support the balance board in the future. Perhaps, with Wii versions of Let’s Yoga and Let’s Pilates.

This really looks fun! As an avid skier, nothing beats the real thing, but this trendy game would come really handy whenever I want a quick skiing fix.
