Crisis Core in March, the World Ends in Spring

ffviicc.jpgSquare-Enix sent an e-mail over with their line up, which confirms a March 25 release date for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Predating Zack’s story is a Nintendo DS adventure with fuzzball moogles and before that gamers get to slash slimes with the Wii remote.

After delving into familiar franchises Square-Enix is introducing a new one The World Ends With You (aka Subarashiki Kono Sekai). Out of the four, I’m most curious to see how Square-Enix is going to localize and promote The World Ends With You. Wouldn’t it be interesting if The World Ends With You sold better in North America than Japan where the game is based?

Here is a Cliff Notes style of what Square-Enix has planned for early 2008:

Dragon Quest Swords – Feb. 26 (*)

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates – March 11 (*)

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII – March 25

The World Ends With You – Spring 2008

The *s indicate Square-Enix has confirmed addition content for North America will appear in this game.

Awesome news. PSP is set to dominate next year… God of War, FF VII, Patapon, and Wipeout Pulse look amazing!

I can not wait for “The World Ends With You” I played it on the ds and followed a translation but that only went to the end of the first chapter, the music and gameplay was great.

SoulCaster Says:

Has it been stated what will be added to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates? If it has, I don’t know how I missed it…>_

“Additional content for North America”
And we all know what THAT means…

So what you are saying is that the Crisis Core game for PSP will arrive on March 25 in English right? Becuase Crisis Core was already released in Japan.

Alexander Says:

@mk1311

Yep, that’s what it means.

Aoshi00 Says:

Really looking forward to DQ Swords and The World Ends w/ you (love the new Eng. title btw). Crisis Core was great, I got FFCC Ring of Fates alrdy, but haven’t the time to try it yet, lots of voice overs in it :)

Spencer Says:

@SoulCaster - There will be extra content in FFCC:RoF for sure, but it’s unknown what Square-Enix is adding. All I was told is there will be something new.

mk1311 Says:

Thanks Alexander. Looks like 2008 really is looking up!:)
