Mechanized madness: Mega Turrican coming to the Virtual Console

Today's ESRB website update brings with it news of another Sega Genesis game hitting the Virtual Console, Mega Turrican, also known as Turrican 3. Developed by Factor 5, now well known for their Star Wars Rouge Squadron games, Mega Turrican is perhaps one of the best run-and-gun games on the Genesis. Alongside fast paced action, huge levels, and a creepy sounding synthesized "power up" voice, Mega Turrican also features great graphics and music, something Factor 5 is still known for today. Though personally, as good as Mega Turrican is, I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't get released as part of the Christmas Eve VC update…I'm holding out hope that Nintendo surprises us with some of the most requested VC titles (Earthbound please, Nintendo?). Still, whenever Mega Turrican comes out, it's definitely worth your hard earned Wii Points. Especially if you're a fan of games like Contra and Cybernator.
