Up, Up and Away: Shuffle Dungeon

awaysd2.jpgThe game’s hero is named Sword. He isn’t a sword, but guess what he uses to fight flaming flounders. Sword’s goal is to rescue villagers who are mysteriously dragged away from town into dungeons. Each time Sword saves a helpless visitor the village gets more vibrant. It’s a simple system with one unique twist, the dual screen dungeon “shuffles”. On set intervals the screen you’re not currently on rotates to a new part of the maze. Sword needs to exit the rotating dungeon with whatever villagers he can rescue before they shuffle out of his reach.

With all the hour draining RPGs on the market, Away: Shuffle Dungeon is a refreshing light hearted romp. I’m looking forward to picking it up on February 28 and saving the misplaced salaryman from the depths of a shuffle dungeon.

Sounds like an interesting concept. Plus the quirky characters designed by same person who did Sonic and music by Uematsu, on my wanted list.

Sounds good. I'll check out the reviews when it comes out.

The look of the game reminds me of Brave Fencer for the PSOne. And the concept also shares some similarities with the rescuing villagers to restore the village... good thing I loved Brave Fencer.

Can hardly wait for this game to come over here.
