Heaven? Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus confirmed

Spencer, I’ve got some info for you on this. GGXX AC Plus has a brand new, fully voiced story mode with branching paths and 350 different scenarios that takes place after the events of GGXX for PS2, Kliff and Justice have been put back in the game, all the bugfixes and rebalances are in place, and there’s also a new Mission mode where characters can level up.

What saddens me about this is that we probably won’t see in the the US at all…

Man, the lack of mission and story modes in Accent Core really got me down. Maybe we’ll see the append disc from Aksys?

the add-on disc shows that they are finally acknowledging the fact that they have been bleeding us dry by charging full price for patches for all these years. with the current downloadable content market, fighting game makers should port to the next-gen systems and give us those patch/expansions for 10 bucks or so for download. i doubt i’ll be buying the update when it releases since i’ve barely been able to give core any time yet, but down the road, i know i’ll be picking it up. this is definitely a step in the right direction.

I have been playing a copy of AC+ for about a week. they did indeed do some nice rebalancing, and mission mode is pretty sweet, story mode would probably be cooler if i could read japanese. they also put most of the secret moves on the move list now, as far as i can tell the only one left out is chipps’ wall jump
