I knew Time Hollow was coming out soon since Konami placed the theme song in Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA 2 SuperDREAM. However, Horo Tokio’s first appearance in a video game will be in a DDR mix. Konami has Time Hollow scheduled to come out on March 19, 2008, about a month after SuperNOVA 2. While Time Hollow’s time-rewinding-butterfly-effect premise is interesting, it’s also import unfriendly due to the large amounts of text. Unless you are fairly Japanese literate you should want to wait for a US release to enjoy the story.
“…wait for a US release….”
I think I’d say “hope” instead of “wait.” While the DS is pretty much the only system where this genre can succeed in the US, I have my doubts that the thought of an international release has even crossed Konami’s mind.
@EvilAkito - At TGS Konami handed me a sheet chronicling their future releases. Time Hollow was on it and for a US release it says TBD. Some other Japanese games like Ultimate Beast Battlers are on the list too with a ” - ” signifying they will not be coming to the USA. I take this is as a sign that Konami is at the very least thinking about releasing Time Hollow and they probably are planning on doing it.
Really? Well in that case, I guess I can raise my optimism a little. The game definitely looks like my cup of tea.
