Dissidia dawns next year

Plenty of impressions from the Jump Fiesta 2007 build of Dissidia: Final Fantasy are been popping up around the web. Most of them favorably mention Dissidia will not be Ehrgiez part Deux. That’s a relief! The other good news is Dissidia: Final Fantasy will not have the extended time line Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII had. It’s coming out in Japan with a smorgasbord of spiky haired heroes sometime in 2008.

Confirmed characters include:

Warrior of Light / Garland (FF1)

Frioniel / Emperor of Palamecia (FF2)

Sephiroth (FF7)

Squall / Ultimecia (FF8)

Zidane / Kuja (FF9)

Tidus (FF10)

Photos of rumored artwork with logical additions like Exdeath, Jecht and The Cloud of Darkness from Final Fantasy III are also circulating. Cloud versus Cloud of Darkness?

Do I see Kefka?! If that’s true then this is going to be the ultimate FF game of all time.

Damn, I can’t wait to import this..

This game is truely a FF fanboy’s wet dream.

After reading IGN’s first hand impression of the game, it sounds like it’s going to awesome.

Squall vs. Cloud. Kuja vs. Seph. Bwahaha!

SoulCaster Says:

This might be the game that’ll finally get me to buy a PSP, I can’t really turn down any game that will let me kick ass with Squall :D. Now just add another character from FFVIII (Rinoa or Zell) and I’ll be set. Just noticed that the odds of a FFXII character showing up, looks rather slim… I was hope to be able to play as Balthier and/or Fran too…
