Travis Touchdown slashing his way into stores early

By Levi . January 4, 2008 . 9:38pm

nmh0002.jpgA few weeks ago, the GameFly listing for No More Heroes mysteriously changed it's release date to January 22nd, 2008. A week or so later, the Amazon listing for the game changed to the 1/22 date as well. Now IGN has come along to confirm what many had suspected: Ubisoft has officially bumped up the North American release date of No More Heroes to January 22nd, 2008. This is great news for both those looking forward to the game, and for Ubisoft and Grasshopper Manufacture, as this bump up puts No More Heroes out of competition with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, at least for a few weeks. Hopefully this leads to more attention for No More Heroes. After all, games like this don't come along often, and this one deserves all the attention it can get. So, to everyone looking forward to No More Heroes, only 17 days and counting!

And all of the sudden the second No More Heroes piece gets bumped up to next week… (look for it everyone :) )

SoulCaster Says:

This is great news for me, was going to get it back in February but it would have had hardly no game time till March thanks to Brawl, lol. Now I can just focus on NMH for January and dedicate February the month of Brawl!

Great news! It’s such a rare treat when a game comes out earlier than expected, rather than later. Of course, I expect Brawl to get delayed (again) anyway, so Ubisoft’s efforts may end up being in vein.
