NA version of NeoGeo Battle Coliseum loses the load times

ngbc0001.jpg Anyone who's ever played the Japanese version of NeoGeo Battle Coliseum inevitably has one major gripe with the game: the absolutely atrocious load times. Well, North American gamers don't have to worry about that little factor. SNK Playmore has worked out whatever it was that slowed down the load times in the Japanese version. So instead of waiting anywhere between 10 to 16 seconds between matches, you only need wait a measly 2 to 4 seconds. This keeps the game flowing much better than in the Japanese version, and makes it a lot more enjoyable to play as well. So, while North America may have lost out on progressive scan in SNK's latest offerings, at least we also lost out on the horrid loading times in NGBC. And to me at least, that's a pretty fair trade-off.

I have the PAL version and the load times aren’t terrible like the Japanese version. They are about 6-10 seconds which is a little frustrating.

It’s worth the wait when they do tune ups like that.

I’m looking forward to what they have planned to release this year.
