Namco Super Heroes meet in a fan created fighting game

nmheroes.jpgSure, the Super Smash Brothers Brawl news is disappointing, but there is an unofficial mascot fighter you can play with to pass the time. Insert Credit points out Namco Super Heroes, a doujin fighter with forgotten Namco characters like Gil from the Druaga series, Valkyrie from  Legend of Valkyrie and my personal favorite addition Rick from Splatterhouse. Most of the cast also appeared in Namco X Capcom, but Namco Super Heroes ditches the SRPG setting to get straight to 2D fighting. Unfortunately, the game appears unfinished since only two characters are playable. I suppose this doesn’t mitigate the Brawl delay much unless you have been dreaming of a battle between Bravoman and Wonder Momo.

The one for download is only the demo version. I suppose the author intended to sell this at some point.
