Classic Phantasy Star returns this March

psiv.jpgGood old Phantasy Star recently hit the 20th anniversary mark. This would have been the perfect time for Sega to release Sega Ages 2500: Phantasy Star Complete Collection. Instead it lands in Japan on March 27. The PlayStation 2 compilation includes Phantasy Star I – IV plus the eight Phantasy Star II text adventures Sega released online in the 90s. However, Sega chose not to include the updated versions of Phantasy Star I and II in the package. That would have been a really sweet deal if they did, but the text adventures are probably enough to tempt Phantasy Star fans to give this a look.

I don’t know why I’m asking this, because I know what the answer is going to be but… any word on a US release of the collection? Probably sans text adventure.

Spencer Says:

@Wolfrider - no :(, but as another helpful Siliconera reader pointed out PS II - IV are on the value priced Sega Genesis Collection. :)

Wolfrider Says:

Really? I thought it was just II. Sweet. Off I go to spend food money! :)
