(Sorry if a double post but I didn't see my last post show up)

Spencer,

Could you explain to us what you know about the VT (Vitality) stat? All we really have heard about it so far is that its always counting down (which I can only assume isn't a good thing). Is this just like the Hunger Meter in Mysterious Dungeon games or does it actually have other game functions?

Hey Spence,

Mind explaining, if you understand this aspect yet, what exactly the VT stat is? How quickly is it dropping down by default and what is it used for?

Glad you guys enjoyed the read. I'm working on a second piece for Baroque in the future. So please look forward to it.

@Pedro Silva - I have the English PS2 version. There is a reason why I felt "lost", but I'll leave that for the second piece.

I almost forgot about this game until someone mentioned it as a quality title in Nintendos recent release list. I'm really interested to give this title a go. ^_^

Great read as always.

from the images (in english) I couldn't tell, are you playing through the english version (did they let you try their current build) or the Japanese one, and if that (japanese barrier?) is the reason why you feel so lost?

Excellent write-up. I'm stoked about a game that'll give me a serious challenge. Sting is pretty decent at making games, really. I know, a lot of people think about Evolution and Evolution 2 as mediocre, but for dungeon crawls, they did it right. This looks like Atlus picked it up because it feels exactly like the dismal lands the Shin Megami Tensei games always touch on.

I'm very excited. The opening cinematic seems to have been drawn by the folks who animated the Persona 3 opening. Can't remember names.

Anyway, I'm jealous you got to play it, Spencer! I'm sure I'll survive a bit longer now that I read this when I pick the game up in February.
