Lup ★ Salad license adapted into a DS block pushing platformer/puzzler

salad.jpgI’m not familiar with the Lup Salad license Dimple Entertainment picked up, but their upcoming Nintendo DS game looks interesting regardless of the source material. Loopop Cube: Lup Salad DS is a 2D platforming puzzle game where you push colored blocks together. Match three of the same color and they vanish. Clear all of the blocks and you complete the stage. Salad, the girl trapped in blockland, can also use the blocks as stepping stones too. The concept is retro simple, which makes it noteworthy. Since the core gameplay is easy to grasp and it doesn’t seem text heavy Loopop Cube: Lup Salad DS might be worth importing if you’re a fan of games like Boxxle when it arrives on January 31.

This looks like a cross between Panel de Pon (Tetris Attack) and Solomon’s Key. I like!
