Will it really be any surprise to anybody if this doesn't come out for Wii? I mean why would SNK want to canibalize their VC sales?

Forget XBLA and all that, if all these collections keep coming to the PS2 I'll just stick with that.

I'm still looking forward to the World Heros and Samurai Shodown compilation.

Supposedly in the later days of their consoles, SCEA loosens up their quality standards, to let just about anything through.

Actually, the mainstream reason for the SNK Xbox support here is SCEA's stance on 2d games (ie, We don't want it....though for some reason, some games are able to slip through (Disgaea being the major one off hand). Now that the PS2 is of lesser focus for them, they have seemingly let go of their leash a little bit. The same thing happened with the PS1.

As for the lower prices... prolly got something to do with the massive PS2 install base and the dwindling lifespan of the system...with less and less games coming out over the long haul, SNK can get people to buy their games by marketing them as cheaper than the other new releases.

why does it take the imminent death of the ps2 for all this 2d goodness? and what made snk finally decide that the low prices they are now assigning are acceptable? they released samurai showdown 5, kof neowave, and metal slug on xbox because they could command 30 instead of 20, yet now we're getting kof 11, ngbc, and a buffet of awesomeness for chump change. i love it. i just think it's sad that it probably marks a big change that i'd rather not discuss.
