Celebrate Chinese New Year with Sony’s Crazy Sale

cncs.jpgSony Computer Entertainment Asia is bringing in the year of the Rat with a sale on a bunch of downloadable PlayStation Network games. From now until February 14, the following games will only cost HK$39 ($5 USD):

LocoRoco! Buu Buu Cocoreccho

Super Rub a Dub

Super Stardust HD

Bacterius

Go Sports! Ski

Piyotama

Not all of these are great deals compared to the US PlayStation Store. Piyotama and Go Sports! Ski actually cost more, but the excellent Super Stardust HD is being sold at half price if you bother to set up a Hong Kong PSN account and add money to it. Perhaps, a better deal is Sony’s catalog of downloadable PSP RPGs will be sold at half price. That means you can snag the unreleased Tenchi no Mon 2, Blade Dancer, and Rezel Cross for around a cool eight US dollars. The downside is the games are in Chinese, which probably means few people are going to take advantage of the promotion.

Still, it’s always interesting to see companies offer Lunar New Year promotions. Last year Microsoft sold Xbox 360 game packs branded with a smiling pig.
