Bonus information on the Shinra Electric Company UMD case

crisiscoreumd.jpgThanks to the vigilant CAG community and a Square-Enix press release you probably already know about the pre-order bonus for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. We don’t get the headphones gamers in Japan received. Instead North American gamers get a UMD case branded with the Shinra Electric Company logo.

I was itching to post this up, but a question popped in my mind, “how many UMDs does the case hold?” Square-Enix got back to me with an answer, "The case holds 2 UMDs.” In comparison the Mango Sours Altoids case I currently use to holds four discs, if you squish them in there. However, it isn’t nearly as stylish as carrying something with Shinra's logo.

Is that the actual case? Looks a little lame, just a little…

At first I thought I was looking at one of those surge protectors, they should make something like that, seeing as they’re the “Shinra Electric Company”, I bet it would sell like hot cakes.

So is this like an EB/Gamestop pre-bonus? I recently just bought the official Sony 3-pack (each other 4 UMDs, a stack of two on each side), but I could use this little Shinra case since I plan on getting this game anyway.

@Aoshi00 – Yeah, it’s a pre-order bonus for EB/Gamestop, Game Crazy and Amazon. And I guess that means you’ll have the US and JPN versions too!
