Smash Brothers shortage mitigated, restock planned for next week

smashx.jpgDespite initial speculation that pre-orders of Dairantou Smash Brothers X, better known as the Japanese Super Smash Brothers Brawl, would be severely bottlenecked two import retailers have a new tone. Play-Asia notes a restock "covering all currently outstanding preorders will arrive on or before coming Monday, February 4th." NCSX sent out an initial batch of orders and expects a second shipment of Smash Brothers Brawl on February 6 or 7. It’s true that many people who pre-ordered Dairantou Smash Brothers X may not get it on day one, but the wait won’t be that much longer. Not nearly as long as the March release date for North America.

Perhaps, this is a good time to note that I am getting a Japanese copy of Super Smash Brothers so please look forward to coverage on the import version soon. Maybe I can even sneak my Wii to GDC and have Super Smash Brothers social in San Francisco. Hmm… that would be fun!
