Wild ARMs XF outlined and interviewed (not by us)

wildarmsxf.jpgJust so it’s out in the open, I was planning on doing an interview with XSeed about Wild ARMs XF. However, after reading Nick Doerr’s excellent interview over a PSP Fanboy it would be pretty redundant. I suggest all Wild ARMs fans should head over there to find out about the story, game length and the class system. Akifumi Kaneko, the producer behind the Wild ARMs series, even explains he has no plans to link the games together regardless of cross game references and how they all take place on Filgaia. I guess I should dispose a dream of a Wild ARMs Wild West Crossover then. Good thing that wasn’t high on my list.

Also Siliconera faithful, we’re planning on doing something for Wild ARMs XF, something different!

  • Like I said over there, PSP owners really need to buy this game, not acquire it by other means. AFAICT, Xseed is about the only company left bringing over PSP RPGs. All the other companies that used to haven’t announced anything for the PSP in their release schedules (which is now mostly announced up to April/May). (Squenix is bringing over their own stuff, presumably, and Hudson has Dungeon Explorer, but I meant other companies – Atlus, NISA, Mastiff, Agetec, Bandai-Namco)

  • =D!! Thanks for the props, Spencer! It’s almost magical to have my own personal questions answered by one of the guys in charge.

I think XSeed brought over Brave Story: A New Traveler sometime last year and it went right under everyone’s radar. Truth be told, it was a pretty darn good game, so I agree with JeremyR when he says we need to buy XSeed’s stuff. Or else we’ll stop getting niche, quality games.

  • Besides Brave Story (which was quite good, probably the PSP’s best traditional JRPG though Siliconera panned it), they also brought over Valhalla Knights and Dungeon Maker which were really niche games.

  • Pedro Silva

I want to know if they’re doing something on the Wii since they turned officially into Wii developers a few months ago (they have dev kits basically)

    I want RPG’s ^^
