Lost cameo, Meet Ultimate Alliance Link

Back when the Wii launched Link was almost thrust into a battle royale against Marvel’s best. No, Marvel characters weren’t drafted in an early version of Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Link was supposed to be a guest character in the Wii version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance! I touched on this nifty lost piece of gaming history previously when a rumor from Such Things That Never Was and right when crossover battle news is near its peak we have a closer look at Ultimate Alliance Link.

Jason Harlow, a senior artist from Vicarious Visions, has pictures of the omitted character model in his online gallery. Captain Britain is in his portfolio too, which I believe was also absent in Ultimate Alliance. It’s too bad Link was cut out of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, his presence would have made the Wii version more competitive against the online enabled Xbox 360 version.

I´m glad that Link or Samus didn´t appeared on it…That design doesn´t look good at all (at least for me) and I don´t think it was a good cameo for the game. Besides that, I´ve never cared about the game anyway…

???

What would have been the X360 and PS3 exclusives?

Anyway, we can have a Action Nintendo RPG…

whehewg Says:

The Link design looks crappy but have you seen most of the characters models on these games? they look crappy too unless its the xbox 360 or ps3

Cap Says:

I think Link would not fit in the marvel world. What would have made sense is if they a DC superhero like Batman or Superman. But any nintendo caracter just would not work.
