Nintendo is throwing an event to celebrate the release of Professor Layton and the Curious Village and the debut of the Cobalt/Black DS Lite at the Nintendo World Store. From 1-3PM event goers can purchase Layton a day early and compete in live puzzle challenges to win prizes. One of them will be a Cobalt/Black DS Lite, which will also be sold a day early just in case you don’t win it.

Nintendo invites fans of all stripes to a release-day launch party for Professor Layton and the Curious Village™, an innovative new game for the top-selling Nintendo DS™. Combining a rich murder-mystery storyline with dozens of brainy puzzles and fully voiced animation scenes, this hand-held adventure puts veteran gamers and newcomers alike at the center of a captivating case where nothing is as it seems.

I’ve waited for this game for a looong time, I might just drop by the Nintendo store this Sunday.. it would be nice if there’s a definite gift for everyone ordering copies there, like a Layton stylus or something, instead of drawing prizes though.
