Solid Snake’s other Brawl, DreamMix TV World Fighters

By Spencer . February 9, 2008 . 4:18pm

Snake isn’t a rookie in the world of mascot fighting games. Before appearing in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Solid Snake was a highlight in DreamMix TV World Fighters. Konami, Hudson and toy company Takara teamed up to release the crossover fighting game back in 2003 on the PlayStation 2 and the Gamecube. The title essentially mashed Bomberman, Transformers (yes, Optimus Prime is in this), Master Higgins, Simon Belmont and Solid Snake. In both games Snake uses bombs, but Brawl and DreamMix TV World Fighters have different ideas on creating his move set.

Time to compare and contrast! Here is Snake in DreamMix TV World Fighters.

I played DreamMix and it wasn’t as fun as I thought it would be. If you’re looking for a good game that is similar to Brawl, I suggest Battle Stadium D.O.N.

Hitmaker Says:

The game was pretty bad, but gets kudos for including 4 seperate costumes for Snake(Pliskin, Tuxedo, and MGS1 along with his MGS2 suit).

TacoBeaver Says:

DREAMMIX SUCKS

ECM Says:

Until I played Dream Mix, I wouldn’t have believed that Optimus Prime could make me cry (then I saw the movie and I cried again.)

Jammy Says:

I’ve heard of Dreammix but that’s the first time i have actually seen video footage of it and honestly, i have no idea what the heck happened in it lol.

Jaxel Says:

DreamMix TV is actually a pretty good game, however most people never gave it a chance because it wasn’t Smash Brothers. They couldn’t understand that it was a different game and forced you to play differently.

jeffx Says:

I want to try it just because it has Simon Belmont

Matt Says:

Jaxel, the problem with the game is that all you do is press the B button repeatingly to attack, and the guard is pretty annoying too.

Jaxel Says:

@Matt… you do realise there are three attack buttons right? Square, Circle and Triangle (throw), and different directionals lead to different attacks… How is that any different from smash brothers? The game isn’t played with the idea to ring people out, instead there is a psuedo-lifebar in heart collection… very similar to Battle Stadium DON. However, DreamMix TV is FAR better than Battle Stadium DON (since DON is one of the most unbalanced games ever made).

Matt Says:

Well, than I don’t know why people hate it. Sorry.
