Control Space Invaders Extreme with the DS paddle controller

Last year Taito was working on revitalizing Arkanoid on the DS. Simultaneously, a paddle controller hit the streets and came with some bundles of Arkanoid to replicate the original feel of the arcade game. While the GBA slot device seemed specifically for Arkanoid DS, Taito is supporting the peripheral in Space Invaders Extreme. When used with the psychedelically trippy shmup the dial moves the ship left and right. I doubt this is an optimal control scheme for Space Invaders Extreme, but it’s a neat add-on for gamers who supported Taito’s previous retro remake.
