Drone Tactics delayed, the metal insect swarm starts in April

dtactucs.jpgAtlus is holding their only (the world’s only?) mecha insect strategy RPG in their hive for an additional two weeks. Instead of coming out in March, Drone Tactics is now scheduled for April 8th. The concept of metal bugs fighting sounds ridiculous on paper, but underneath the storyline Drone Tactics has a robust customization system. You can mount gun turrets to ladybugs, add a chain saw to a beetle and paint an icon to identify your troops.

Perhaps, Drone Tactics coverage is being eclipsed by Advance Wars: Days of Ruin and its online play. Unfortunately, you can’t challenge friends over Nintendo Wi-Fi. However, Drone Tactics has features Advance Wars: Days of Ruin doesn’t, metal insects and a reference to Zero Wing.
