NIS America’s first DS game infects North America in May

ppv.jpgRemember Puchi Puchi Virus? It’s a puzzle game developed by Jaleco and the first Nintendo DS title handled by NIS America. After catching a delay, Puchi Puchi Virus missed its original February target. I just got word that Puchi Puchi Virus is now scheduled for May 2008 sporting NIS America’s warm & winged casual games label.

Speaking of the casual label, NIS America hasn’t announced any other games for it. The must have plans to release more casual games otherwise they wouldn’t have created it. Perhaps, it will be used for Tori no Hoshi: Aerial Planet if they choose to localize it.

If this really does turn out to be true… Then it’s not only the first DS game from NIS, but their first ever release on any non-Sony platform. The Japanese division has existed for over a decade and not once published or developed on one.
