yeah , forza 2 does damage but thats because the cars use about the same polygon count as GT4, could even be less, dont get me wrong i think forza 2 is a great game but its no gran turismo, polyphony are just so far ahead of everybody, it just goes to show what an amazing peice of software GT4 was cos it still looks good even now.

GTPlanet (the huge GT site) already discovered that there was going to be a new track in the game. I was surprised that nobody picked up the story.

The forthcoming GT5 will have moderate car damage, its all about the licensing issues with manufacturers.

Honestly, if the game does not have car damage I will be fine with it. Heck, the series has never had damage and still manages to sell 20 times more than Forza. I wonder, perhaps it's just the hardcore racers that like damage modeling? I just want to see the cars and have fun with 15 other people online, not just 7 others that seem to find it more fun to damage others cars and put them out of the race.

Damage modeling in forza 2 isn't very realistic. Crash a car at 120+ mph into a wall in the game, and you can still "somewhat" drive it around the track in Forza. Is a car still drivable after a crash at 90mph in real life?

I understand the damage argument to a certain extend, but why is it that your car can be going almost 200 mph in Forza, and as soon as you hit grass, your car's speed drops to like 30 mph. You could argue that you're not supposed to run off the road in the first place, but one could also argue that you're not supposed to crash your car, therefore damage not being needed in GT.

New cars and tracks? Thanks Sony, but what the Gran Turismo series really needs is damage modeling. Seriously, if Forza 2 can do, you can too.

Also, they need to bring back the whole "Used Car" aspect from GT 1 & 2.
