Wading in colorful oceans, quick impressions of flOw for the PSP

I quickly got a chance to try out the PSP version of flOw, which is a lot like… the PlayStation 3 version of flOw. The most notable difference is the analog nub moves the Jelly creature around opposed to Sixaxis tilt control. In respect to the input system flOw felt more like a “traditional” game, but it also took away some of the novelty of gliding in an ocean.

After spinning in a circle and diving a bit deeper by eating the red microorganisms I put the PSP back on the table. Not because flOw a bad game, it’s still a fantastic experience. A fantastic experience I can play at home any time since the PlayStation 3 version is always accessible. GDC is a short window of time where I can scout around for brand new games! Anyways, flOw is coming out really soon. March 6th soon.
