Trigger Heart Exelica flies onto Xbox Live Arcade next week

Warashi has a huge banner to celebrate the release of Trigger Heart Exelica on Xbox Live Arcade. It’s definitely coming out this Wednesday in Japan and chances are very good it will be released around the world on the same day. I can’t say it’s 100% yet because the announcement doesn’t specify regions. To date, all Xbox Live Arcade games debut in North America. Meanwhile they often appear later (see Lumines Live) or never (see Sierra’s XBLA games) in Asia. Let’s hope Trigger Heart Exelica doesn’t reverse the existing trend.

Interesting note: The release date is about one year from when Warashi released Trigger Heart Exelica on the Dreamcast. Yeah, for them!

I already own the Dreamcast original (Sega Direct edition), but I’ll pick up the XBLA version to support Warashi.

I still think it’s incredible that this is coming out in the US at all, and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Japan only.

Still this shows the great possibility of more obscure arcade shumps finding their way to a US release. Afterall, if the US version sells well, it is good for both Warashi and Microsoft, if not, no big loss since it probably will require very little translation. Now we can hope this might get us Otomedius (crossing fingers).
