Case opened, Success Corp’s DS detective games identified

successd.jpgFarwell Mackenzie/Rina? Success is moving past the cute Touch Detective with two police detective games scheduled to come out on May 15. Yes, Otoshi Keiji: Keiji-San, Watashi ga Yarimashita and Yajuukeiji: Tokyo Doujitahatsu Terror Wo Chinatsuseyo are both coming out for the Nintendo DS on the same day, a rather interesting choice. The latter game deals with terrorism in Tokyo and is coined an action game. The other is an adventure game. Both games are under the umbrella of Success’ new Deka (short of detective) project and beyond that there isn’t much information about either of them.

Yeah, for gritter detective games a la Jake Hunter and Hotel Dusk: Room 215.

If you go to the main site, the adventure game is called ‘Otoshi Deka’ (they even written ‘de-ka’ underneath the kanji!)

Spencer Says:

@trickless - Actually the kanji really is Keiji which means detective. Te katakana underneath the kanji is de-ka which is like short hand for Detective.

trickless Says:

True, but with the katakana written underneath I would have thought they intended it to be pronounced as ‘Deka’.

Like how Dynamite Cop in Japan is called ‘Dynamite Deka’, as opposed to ‘Dynamite Keiji’

Spencer Says:

@trickless - Ah! I see what you mean. Yeah, I guess having the casual deka before the colon would make sense instead of seeing keiji twice. Point well taken :)
