The first title in the new wave of Dragon Ball Z games “bursts” into Japanese stores on June 5. Like Dragon Ball Z: Budokai before it Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit starts at the beginning of the Z series with kid Gohan and the Freeza saga. Dimps, the developer of the previous Dragon Ball Z fighting games, has a new fighting system and updated the visuals significantly. The result is a game that looks closer to the anime series and a stream of profit for Namco Bandai / Atari. Unlike the other Dragon Ball Z games Burst Limit is pretty import friendly, if you’re the owner of a region free PlayStation 3 you can pick it before Atari brings it to North America.
bah… I have DBZB1 and its pretty much the same as this… execpt for graphics
@kakashi - all PS3s are region free for games I was just putting up the “region free” remark as a reminder.
Look at Freeza’s eyes bulging out, so authentic DB-style :) I probably won’t be able to wait and would import this. Funny the name is spelled Frieza, wonder if this is from a US screenshot and they decide to adopt the Funimation spelling, which doesn’t seem likely.. I hope the locales’ graphics would get beefed up too since they were always relatively bland..
@Aoshi00 - Oh wow I didn’t even notice the spelling. Actually, that screen shot is from a Japanese build! Hahaha. How strange.
Yeah, it is a little weird.. I used to be bugged by that spelling back when the horrible Funimation dub aired. At any rate, looking forward to this game, it just looks too good :) I hope it’s at least fun to play.

I thought the PS3 was regionfree??? If it isn’t, I may have to pick up a Japanese console.
