NIS America is already hard at work on Disgaea DS and the touch screen version of Laharl’s adventure will arrive in North America sooner than expected. We just discovered the game actually exists days ago and we’re going to be throwing Prinnies with the stylus in July. New features haven’t been fully disclosed, but the Nintendo DS version will include Geo Cubes, a feature introduced in Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (aka the PSP version). I wonder if Etna’s alternate storyline will be part of Disgaea DS too.
Hmm… well there is some kind of multiplayer mode in Disgaea DS. Perhaps, through Nintendo Wi-Fi? Now, that would be a reason to convince a Disgaea fan who owns the PlayStation 2 and PSP versions to revisit the story line a third time.
Actually though, NISA had been hinting at Disgaea DS since last summer.
Man, Nippon Ichi has turned Disgaea 1 into a franchise.
Port Heaven, $$$$
Etna’s alternate storyline is included. I just got a newsletter from NISA and they said it was included. That’s about all the mentioned.
“This DS version has an option to play with the stylus. Also, there will be a grid map on the top screen, so you can strategize even better!”
Pretty cool. I don’t have a PSP so I’m already sold, but I wonder they’re going to localize Rhapsody, too.
disgaea, again? I’m sorry but thats really when I thought when I saw this. they already did a remake for the psp. oh well, maybe it’s just fair that DS players get it too. but I’m not going to play through it a third time…
(unless we get a flonne mode. I’d like to see her rule the netherworld XD)
I wonder how much, if any, of the voice acting will be retained? Luminous Arc had a fair amount, so maybe Disgaea will, too… I hope so!

Don’t you have more pictures? :p this is the only worthwhile screenshot on the internet, since the other site who has them has a lot of compression artifacts; can’t bare to see them like that.
Still… I’ll buy it, but I wish it wasn’t a port of a game that I already own.
