How to play Nippon no Asoko de

nas.jpgEarlier this week we saw a trailer with a catchy theme song for Nippon no Asoko de, a PSP game where an alien explores Japan. Charming? Yes. Informative? Hardly. Besides seeing a UFO fly around Japan details weren’t clear about what players do in the title.

Let’s take another look at Nippon no Asoko de. Fishing is integral to the game. Shadows of giant fish are swimming all around Japan and the tiny spacecraft acts as a lure to pull up. Once a gyo is in your grasp battle roulette begins. Players have to stop a spinner to damage and catch it. After the colorful fish is caught landmarks appear pop up on the bare map.

Fish then sightsee, I think I got it!
