Go online with WiiWare and Mojipittan Wii

I’m sure Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan Wii, a Japanese language puzzle game from Namco Bandai, is the WiiWare title everyone is frothing over. I’m not much of Mojipittan fan, but the Wii version has the largest dictionary in the series to date with over 130,000 words. Just for comparisons sake Mojipittan DS had 100,000 words.

Another feature Mojipittan Wii has that the DS version lacks is online pay via Nintendo Wi-Fi. Not a bad deal for 1,000 Wii Points and if you love Mojipittan you can purchase additional stages. Namco Bandai has yet to announce a price for new boards. Yes, microtransactions they’re coming to the Wii, but we all saw that coming right?

Unless Guitar Hero III speeds up the timeline for downloadable content Namco Bandai may be the first publisher offering pay-to-play downloadable content. Either way this is a definite first for a WiiWare game.
