Rez HD? Great, but it’s just an enhancement of a PlayStation 2 disc I already own. If you love Rez and want to play something fresh dust off your Dreamcast. The Lost Levels dug up the code for K-Project, (clarification: by dug up I meant discovered, not ripped or anything like that) an early version of Rez. The differences in the build sound pretty significant. You have alternate boss patterns, different graphics and “mostly different” music (!). One of the forum members says the tunes are from Underworld.
I really want to pick K-Project apart with a fine toothed comb, but my Dreamcast is out of reach. If anyone downloads and plays this please let us know if it’s anything like the K-Project video below.
I checked it out. It’s not as early as that footage seen there, and actually looks a lot like the final product, but the music is entirely different and you can tinker about with all sorts of debug menus if you plug in a keyboard.
Lost Levels did -not- release the game. handofg0d, a poster at the forum, found out that someone posted it at another site (underground-gamer), so he let the Lost Levels forum know about it.
Please fix the news post.
Correct - I am not a staff member of Lost Levels, nor am I the source of this material. For clarification it was posted on Underground-Gamer (a semi-private site) and I just linked to it on the LL forums.
