On the weekends Hong Kong’s Xbox division is busy throwing events at Langham Place. The first one occurred last weekend where a few families stopped by to play Sonic the Hedgehog and compete at Mad Tracks, incidentally called Mad Truck in Asia.
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo was one of the more popular games at the event.
The biggest surprise was many of the Xbox Live Arcade games were fully localized into Chinese. This includes third party titles like Arkadian Warriors from Sierra.
More people really should have entered the two player toy car race because there were some good prizes at the event. Trusty Bell soundtracks, Blue Dragon binders and a set of Blue Dragon branded metal page holders.
I was lucky enough to get one of the boxed Blue Dragon page holders. Let’s take a look at what is inside.
Just in case you’re around Mong Kok between 4:00 – 6:00PM here is the future event schedule:
3.22 - 3.24 - Bomberman Live
3.29 - 3.30 - Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
4.05 - 4.06 - Small Arms
It’s nice to see MS spend so much effort in holding these events in HK and Singapore, they’re kind of accessible as well since HK is not a big city. I wish they would just come out w/ a brand new puzzle fighter alrdy.
