Dimple Entertainment drafts horror for the Nintendo DS

A company known for creating cheerful games like Kira Kira Pop Princess is going in an entirely different direction with Miteha Ikenai (roughly: Do not look!). The project is a portable horror story where players examine paranormal photographs. Before stylus scratching begins in Shinrei Shashin mode (Ghost Photo mode), players are given clues where to scratch and how to trigger the phenomenon. Shinrei Shashin mode is done time attack style where you have three minutes to spook yourself out. It sounds like something well designed for short play bursts.

Noroi no ie mode (Noroi’s house mode) has players investigate a home an overarching storyline where you try to cleanse a residence from ghosts. Between bits of conversation spooky events happen like dolls crying tears of blood. Fun for all ages.
