To the excitement of everybody who purchased Etrian Odyssey and head-scratching of everyone who skipped it, Atlus will publish Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard in North America. We get the DS dungeon exploring RPG on June 17.

What makes Etrian Odyssey awesome? The Wizardary-like feel. The challenge of touch screen cartography. The Troubadour class? Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard bumps the total number of classes to twelve by adding new options like Gunners. The plot has you leave home to find the Grail of Kings from a floating palace, but you can stray from your mission by tackling one of the 100+ side quests.

Hellz ya
So many games that don’t suck that I have to buy

jeffx Says:

I am _incredibly_ excited, I spent around 40 hours on the original. Hope they improved the mapping a bit though, towards the end I didn’t bother with it anymore. Best news all day!

RagolSlayer Says:

w00t. Loved the first one, so I’m definitely going to get this.

Now to bother Atlus about bringing Elminage over! =D

Devian Says:

I can’t wait to fight as a panda!

Louise Says:

Hell yeah! I’m currently playing the 1st one still, but I’m excited for the new classes.

Nick Doerr Says:

Oh, the first one hurt so good. Maybe I’m bad at organizing a balanced party. Still, this game is classic dungeon-crawling at its graph paper and pen finest. Will definitely support the sequel and, unsurprisingly, Atlus.

Chris Dahlberg Says:

It’s amazing how many titles Atlus is putting out in such a short time frame. They’re much bigger than they were in the past.

nika Says:

@ttora: the fact that it had never been released here in europe completely missed me. I bought my copy in canada when I was on vacation there, simply because the prices are much lower over there ^-^

Didn’t know there was a second game! that probably means I should finaly get myself to finish the game sometime soon…
