Sigma Harmonics mystifies DS owners this summer

Yes, Square Enix has new intellectual properties other than the World Ends With You. Sigma Harmonics, a mystery RPG where the DS is held book style, is one of them. We mentioned the trademark before and now Famitsu has some clear screenshots of Kurokami Sigma who reminds me of Harry Potter.

Besides being students the two characters are not similar. Harry is busy saving Hogwarts while Sigma’s past is getting rewritten. Who is doing it? I hope it’s not the cloaked character. That would be too obvious. Japan finds out this summer when Sigma Harmonics is released.

Interesting note: Square Enix released the World Ends With You last summer in Japan. Perhaps, that’s their time to experiment with new series.

This sounds very promising and I hope it does well enough to get a US release.

Even though sales didn’t pick up, I absolutely loved Hotel Dusk. Holding the thing book-style is pretty fun, especially when they let you change to left-handed settings =D

Go lefties!

Looks like another title to keep an eye on, though I’m more anxious to get the next Professor Layton series myself.
