Tri-Ace trailers – Valkyrie Profile DS & Star Ocean 4

Star Ocean: Second Evolution isn’t out yet, but the content from the Tri-Ace trailer disc is. Ram sent us links (thanks!!) to two trailers of Tri-Ace’s upcoming projects.

 

The Star Ocean 4 trailer is a mix of familiar footage with some new clips. Tri-Ace still hasn’t revealed what system Star Ocean 4 is for and there isn’t any gameplay footage to see. Actually, the only revealing information about Star Ocean 4 in the trailer is the setting, Space Date 0010 / A.D. 2074. Didn’t the events from Star Ocean: Till the End of Time take place in Space Date 779 / A.D. 2859? So, Fayt’s story takes place centuries in the future while Star Ocean 4 is closer to our timeline.

 

 

 

Like the Star Ocean 4 trailer, the Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One preview video is entirely full motion video. The scene where Lenneth flaps her ethereal wings looks gorgeous, but there isn’t any real substance to take in.
