XS Games swipes Commando: Steel Disaster

xsgames.jpgAfter the Red Star, budget publisher XS Games has been silent. Rumors have been swirling about a Nintendo Wii port, but the first concrete new about the New York based XS Games comes from Europe. Lexicon Entertainment is working with them to bring Commando: Steel Disaster (aka: that Metal Slug clone from the UK) to North America. Clone or not, Commando: Steel Disaster doesn’t look half bad and I’m glad I won’t have to pay over $60 to import it. Yes, exchanging pounds to dollars doubles the £29.99.

XS Games will release Commando: Steel Disaster in the third quarter of this year. No price point has been announced, but XS Games usually dabbles in the sub-$20 range.

I thought you said it was from China…
either way, totally buying this.
any news on Metal Slug DS/7?

Spencer Says:

@jeffx - Yeah it’s from China. Mana Computer Software developed it, Lexicon Entertainment (UK) is publishing it.

I believe it’s in the archives now, but Metal Slug 7 is coming to NA. When I met with SNK they had an updated build to go with the US announcement.

Chris Dahlberg Says:

Awesome, I want this game.

How many of the other Lexicon titles have actually made it to the US, I haven’t seen many.
