Far in the future, Sega’s espionage RPG

Sitting in the shadows of Sonic Unleashed is Alpha Protocol. Shortly after official news about Sonic’s 2.5D game Sega announced they are developing an espionage RPG. No dragons or sci-fi themes here, Alpha Protocol is set in the modern world. The setting alone piques my interest since few RPGs attempt to set events in present day.

Details will have to wait. Alpha Protocol won’t arrive on PS3s, Xbox 360s or PCs until early 2009.

An espionage RPG…interesting. I’ll have to keep my eyes on this one.

I read most of the cover story in the last Game Informer, and it sounded pretty awesome.
