Dreamcatcher and the Sam & Max Season One rerun

Sam & Max is coming to the Wii and Telltale Games isn’t using WiiWare for the transition. The six episodes that make up Sam & Max Season One will be repackaged on a disc and distributed by Dreamcatcher this fall. Telltale hasn’t outlined any details about extra content, but they claim “the new Wii version will present Sam & Max in a format that can be enjoyed from the comfort of the living room, either alone or with a group of friends.”

I can’t fathom a group of friends watching me waggle through puzzles and enjoying it. It sounds like they are hinting at a multiplayer mode. Mini-games? Everyone loves mini-games. It’s really in Telltale’s best interest to add something to make the Wii version attractive to people who played the PC episodes. While Sam & Max Season One was entertaining, it’s not the kind of game I would purchase twice. Reruns are overrated.

I've waited off on getting the Episodes for multiple reasons. The first was that I wanted to buy them when they were all out. By that time they also announced a physical PC version, so then I wanted that. Then I heard rumors of a Wii version, so now I want that since PC gaming is not my favorite (PC games themselves are great but the compatibility in the long run and increasing necessary upgrades for new games isn't fun). I honestly don't think there will be a better option for me so I'm glad I waited off.

I think i might get this. I've heard good things about the PC version but i've never played it. Now it's coming to the Wii with the extra episodes so i might indulge and see what the hubbub is about.
