Heavenly Guardian (aka Kiki Kai World) actually coming out in April

With a name change and a temporary absence from UFO Interactive’s homepage it’s hard to keep track of Heavenly Guardian. We won’t have to scour for release dates much longer since UFO Interactive is releasing the Nintendo Wii version on April 22th. The PlayStation 2 release? Yeah, that was scuttled out the door silently months ago.

Both versions retail for $19.99, way cheaper than the 6,090 yen ($60) price tag for the Wii version in Japan. It’s a shame Starfish and UFO Interactive didn’t bring this to WiiWare instead. Heavenly Guardian would fare much better as a downloadable game where it doesn’t have to compete for shelf space.

I got this game for the PS2 a little while ago. It’s a blast and I highly recommend it. What will make this better for the Wii? I don’t think it’s worth having 2 copies.

Aoshi00 Says:

I really want this game, no chance the Wii ver. would use a better cover? The KiKi Kai World and Yukinko covers were both good.. the PS2 cover was just horrible :(..

Reluctantly Human Says:

Correct me if I am mistaken, but don’t those things look like peppermint versions of Rabites from the Mana games?

BudDud Says:

I played the PS2 version. It’s not very good. Looked something like Pocky and Rocky, but it misses the target. Rent it.
