Ryne11 sent in some scans (thanks!!) for Gyakuten Kenji (Reversal Prosecutor), which Capcom explains is a “Gyakuten NOT Saiban project”. Translation: Gyakuten Kenji is part of the Gyakuten (reversal) series, but it isn’t a Saiban (trial) game.
The emphasis is on investigation where you examine crime scenes with famed prosecutor Miles Edgeworth and get assistance from Dick Gumshoe. In Gyakuten Kenji, Edgeworth is actually a moveable character. You can probe crime scenes by actually making him walk places.
As you can see Edgeworth has some familiar animations like his cocky shoulder shrug. While direct character control is new, Gyakuten Kenji retains similar controls from the Phoenix Wright series. You still scan areas for clues with the touch screen and interrogate strange characters, strange new characters. If Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is an interactive novel, Reversal Prosecutor is more like a touch screen adventure game.

Oh hell yes. I wonder if this is the secret they were going to mention at the Gyakuten Saiban concert?
I couldn’t get enough of playing as Edgeworth in the last case in Trials and Tribulation. This is too awesome.
Wow! This looks too cool. I can’t wait to hear more about it.
This is awesome…I’m still waiting for 3 to come out in Europe….I have no time (again) to import the US version due to studying. Can’t wait til my exams are done!
None of the scans actually show him prosecuting in the courtroom. I fear this game may be investigation only, which would make it suck. =/
This is amazing news! adventure game with miles! dream come true
